Version 3, Version 4 and Genre Chart Update

It seems like forever that I’ve been yammering on about Version 3, but it looks like the bugs are suitably squashed (though I’m sure some glitches will show up initially) and we should be launching after the chart publishes this week.  With that said, here is an updated timeline for the items that are in development:

Version 4! Yes, we’re already working on version 4 which will have more modifications and improvements. If all goes well with the V3 launch this week, we’ll have V4 published to the test server after that.

Going For Adds V2 – As you may know we’ve been running a patched together “Top Adds” logic using Google Forms. We’re hoping that the fully integrated set up will published to the test server alongside V4.

Genre Charts. I know this is a big ticket item and I appreciate your patience on it as it’s actually huge deal to build. We basically have to replicate and modify the Top 30 ingestion engine as well as build out access for Multiple users to each station for the corresponding formats (World, Jazz, Heavy, Hip Hop, Electronic). If all goes according to plan we are looking at a beta / test version published on the dev site by May 12th. Bug-fixes will be next, but we’re making progress.
