The NACC 200 for May 30 is Live

Just a quick reminder: Due to Canada Day & Independence Day falling directly over the reporting window, there will be NO CHARTS the week of July 4. Also, please encourage your co-workers to sign up for the weekly recap email! You and then can subscribe HERE (at the bottom of the page). We have nearly 900 subscribers and we’d love for them to be included.

Mac Demarco fends off all competition to land a second week at the top of the NACC 200. Written when his father became ill and didn’t look like he’d recover (thankfully he did), This Old Dog is much more serious than his previous efforts and has certainly connected with his fans and radio alike. Last week’s highest debut is this week’s biggest climber into the Top 10. Black Angels and Blondie also reach the Top 10 this week, but it’s The Mountain Goats soaring 12-5 who make the biggest splash.

The NACC 200’s overall biggest mover this week comes from English singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Marika Hackman. Her second LP makes a huge move on the chart this week, up from 160-27. Congrats to Sub Pop and Shine On for the impressive jump.

The highest debut on the chart comes from Nick Hakim. Hakim returns after two very warmly received EPs in 2014 with his debut full-length album, Green Twins (out now on ATO Records). Finally, the #1 most added album this week is from Chastity Belt. Their second Hardly Art release and third overall, I Used To Spend So Much Time Alone, handily grabs the most station adds.
