How did you first hear about WCVF?

A friend of mine told me about the opportunity to work with a bunch of my favorite music at the WCVF radio station everyday and I knew I wanted to be a part of that.

How long have you been at WCVF? What is your history there?

I’ve been here for about 2 years. I started out in archives and moved my way to Music Director assistant and now I’m here!

What are you most proud of accomplishing/changing at WCVF?

I think it’s really important to keep good relationships with all of the promoters, so I would say I’m proud to have kept up a good repore with our promoters as well as some local music acts we feature.

How does WCVF make itself known throughout Fredonia? What sort of things do you do to connect with the community?

Our e-board members go around campus and into classes telling other students about what we do at the station. Also we hold an event every year called Rockin the Commons for the community to come listen to local music, eat food and have a great time!

What artist/band are you most excited about who is supposed to release new music in 2018?

My favorite band Zoology is rumored to be dropping their EP in January. That will be the HIGHLIGHT of my year.

Do you have a favorite artist or album you never get tired of listening to?

I never get tired of listening to Bon Iver’s “22, A Million” album on repeat! His production and lyrics still amaze me every time I listen.

What is your favorite live show you have ever attended?

I went to a St. Paul and the Broken Bones concert and hands down it’s still the best concert I’ve ever been to. It was in a small venue with not much production, but the absolute artistry behind their music and his voice gave me chills.

What is your best childhood memory?

I performed in a lot of theaters when I was younger. So probably being able to perform in musicals and plays since a young age and meeting some awesome people though that.

If you could choose, what time period in the past would you most want to travel back to and visit?

I would probably take my current age and travel back to the 90s. I love the fashion, music and culture.

Do you have a favorite restaurant in town you always make sure to take guests/visitors to?

So I love going out to eat but the place I’ll always take somebody from out of town is Duffs. I’m from Buffalo, the city that invented chicken wings. Duffs in my opinion has the best chicken wings in Buffalo and I need to share the wealth with everyone!

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

I don’t know if it’s “advice” per say but I think it’s super important to treat others the way you would want to be treated. It’s a total cliche but I think it’s a mind frame everyone should live by.
