#1 Best Coast | NACC Charts for the week ending March 10

The top tier of the NACC 200 is being stormed by a bunch of new records. The charge was led last week when Tame Impala jumped 4-1. This week, Los Angeles-duo Best Coast overtakes Tame Impala with a 5-1 climb. Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno’s fifth LP, Always Tomorrow (out on Concord), also reaches #1 on NACC NEXT this week

Four new albums reach the NACC Top 10 this week: Soccer Mommy rises 26-3, Caribou is up 24-4, and Grimes steps 11-10. But it is Real Estate who make the biggest move into the Top 10, leaping 50-9 with their new Domino release, The Main Thing. This is the Ridgewood, New Jersey band’s fifth studio album. Their tour supporting the record will start next month at Detroit’s longtime mainstay, the El Club.

Héloïse Adelaïde Letissier, who records as Christine & The Queens, enjoys the NACC 200’s biggest climb this week with her tenth EP, En Vit Nuova. It follows the French singer’s sophomore LP, Chris, which was also a NACC Biggest Climber in August of 2018.

Hailing from Indiana, we have the NACC 200’s highest debut of the week. Musician Kevin Krauter‘s second LP, Full Hand, out on Bayonet Records. The album jumps aboard the chart this week at #44. Krauter was also one of the founding members of the band Hoops, who went on hiatus at the end of 2018.

This week’s most added album comes from Pennsylvania quartet The Districts. The Fat Possum Records band formed in 2009 and their fourth LP, You Know I’m Not Going Anywhere, bests Disq by one Top 10 add to take the most-added crown this week.

Car Seat Headrest jump 9-1 on NACC SIngles this week with “Can’t Cool Me Down,” the first single off of their upcoming Making A Door Less Open LP, due May 1. Rising artist Binki has the most-added single of the week with his new release, “Heybb!”
