Arlo Parks holds down #1 for an incredible 11th straight week

Well, now she’s just showing off. British singer-songwriter Arlo Parks holds down #1 on the NACC 200 for an incredible 11th straight week! Her debut LP, Collapsed In Sunbeams (Transgressive/PIAS), has its smallest chart total of these eleven weeks, but no one else seems to want to take over at #1 so there she is… again! Her album also rebounds to #1 on NACC NEXT Chart. Chad VanGaalen (2-2), Flock Of Dimes (5-3), and Dry Cleaning (10-4) will all try to dislodge Arlo Parks from #1 next week.

Only one new album reaches the NACC Top 10 this week and it comes from Ridgewood, NJ quintet Real Estate. Formed in 2009, the band now resides in Brooklyn and in their time together have released five LPs and three EPs including their latest, Half A Human. The Domino release climbs 12-8 this week and scores the band their third NACC Top 10.

Self-described boy-band Brockhampton enjoys this week’s biggest climb, roaring 172-18 on the NACC 200. The thirteen-member San Marcos, TX/North Hollywood outfit is led by Kevin Abstract and formed in 2010. Their sixth LP, Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine (Question Everything/RCA), is one of just five so far this year to climb 150+ spots on the chart.

Tim van Berkestijn, who records as Benny Sings, has this week’s highest debut on the NACC 200. The Dordrecht, Netherlands native has been making music since 1999 and has eight LPs under his belt, including his latest, Music (Stones Throw). The album jumps onto the NACC 200 this week at #33.

This week’s most added artist is singer-songwriter and guitarist Juan Wauters. Hailing from Montevideo, Uraguay, Wauters moved to New York City as a teenager with his family in 2000. He has released five LPs since leaving his band The Beets (Doug Funnie must have been crushed at the time). His latest, Real Life Situations (Captured Tracks), collected 53 Top 10 Adds this week.

Beatrice Laus, who records as Beabadobee, holds at #1 on the NACC Singles Chart this week with “Last Day On Earth,” the first single from her upcoming EP, Our Extended Play, due later this Spring. Solo artist and boygenius member Lucy Dacus enjoys her second most-added single this year with “Hot & Heavy” from her upcoming third LP, Home Video, due June 26
