Fleet Foxes fends off competition to lock down #1 on the NACC 200 for a third straight week

To all our U.S. friends, we hope you’ll get out and vote!

Seattle quintet Fleet Foxes continues to fend off the competition and lockdown #1 on the NACC 200 for a third straight week with their fourth LP, Shore (Anti-). They also rule NACC NEXT for the fourth week and return to #1 at NACC Non-Comm for a third week on top. Fleet Foxes will look to make it a month at #1 on the NACC 200 next week if they can continue to hold Sylvan Esso (2-2) and Death Valley Girls (5-3) at bay.

Beatrice Laus, better know as Beabadoobee, has the only new album to reach the NACC Top 10 this week. Her debut LP, Fake It Flowers (Dirty Hit), was last week’s most-added album and this week soars from 41-8. It’s an album she wrote after a COVID-19 diagnosis.

Longtime College and Community radio favorites Gorillaz, fronted by Damon Albarn, returns with their seventh LP dating back to their inception back in 1998. Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez (Parlophone/Warner) is not only this week’s most-added release but is also this week’s highest debut, opening at #31.

Compilations rarely make the waves necessary to gain a feature on our NACC Wednesday Recap. But one does this week. The NACC 200’s biggest mover comes via the new Blue Note collection, Blue Note Re:Imagined. The compilation includes newly recorded versions of classic Blue Note tracks by various artists featuring the likes of Jorja Smith, Ezra Collective, Nubya Garcia, and Jordan Rakei.

The sophomore release by Dallas, TX born musician Dorian Electra Fridkin Gomberg, professionally known simply as Dorian Electra, is this week’s second-highest debut on the NACC 200. My Agenda (Self-Released) jumps aboard the NACC 200 at #37 this week.

Oakland, CA duo Tune-Yards leaps from 6-1 on NACC Singles this week with their new single “nowhere. man.” It’s also one of the Top 5 biggest climbs on the NACC 200. Tennessee-born solo musician (and boygenius member) Julien Baker returns with this week’s most-added single, “Faith Healer,” the first song from her upcoming third LP, Little Oblivions, due February 26.

The NACC 200’s Top 20, the Top 5 overall NACC Adds, this week’s genre chart-toppers, and the week’s most-added genre records are included below. In addition to the return to #1 at NACC Non-Comm for Fleet Foxes, there are new chart-toppers at NACC Canadian, Electronic, World, Folk, and Chill.
