#1 The Black Keys | The NACC Charts for July 30, 2019

The Black Keys dominate the NACC 200 for a third straight week with their Easy Eye Sound/Nonesuch Records release Let’s Rock. The Akron, OH duo’s ninth LP has been on the NACC 200 for four weeks now and has only been in the top two spots debuting at #2, followed by three weeks on top. Next week a host of records will attempt to oust The Black Keys from #1 including Calexico and Iron & Wine (3-2), The Raconteurs (4-4), and Blood Orange (11-5).Speaking of Blood Orange, the Dev Hynes’ project is one of three albums to jump into the Top 10 of the NACC 200 this week. Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke moves 17-9 with his third solo studio album. But it’s Purple Mountains, the new project from David Berman (formerly of the Silver Jews), who makes the biggest move into the Top 10 with a 15-7 rise after debuting just last week. Their self-titled debut is out now on Drag City.

After spending three weeks atop the NACC Singles Chart with “No Bullets Spent,” Austin, TX-based quartet Spoon leap aboard the NACC 200 this week with their new greatest hits package Everything Hits At Once: The Best Of Spoon. The album compiles the biggest songs from their nine previous LPs along with the aforementioned lone new track. The album is this week’s highest debut at #24.

The NACC 200’s biggest climb this week is only the second Advanced Tracks album (meaning it has not been released yet) to score the chart’s fastest climb. Almost exactly one year ago Christine & The Queens became the first artist to accomplish this feat. Now Alabama Shakes lead singer Brittany Howard is releasing her first solo album, Jamie, in September, and two pre-release tracks help her jump 175-67 on the chart.

Grabbing the most Top 10 adds of any artist this week is Seattle trio Dude York. Formed in 2012, the trio of Peter Richards, Claire England and Andrew Hall have just released their fourth LP (and third for Hardly Art), Falling. Their 77 adds this week is the most any album has collected since our May 7 charts.

Wilco‘s new single “Love Is Everywhere (Beware)” leaps 10-1 on the NACC Singles Chart this week after scoring the most adds of any single last week. Los Angeles quartet Allah-Las are back with, “In The Air,” the first single from their upcoming fourth LP. It’s the most-added single of the week.
