#1 Wilco | The NACC Charts for November 5, 2019 are live!

Four weeks – four #1s on the NACC 200. An album some thought might have been out of the running for the top spot this week after being climbed over just last week puts the pedal down and zooms 5-1. It’s Wilco‘s eleventh studio album, Ode To Joy, out on their own dBpm imprint. It’s lead singer Jeff Tweedy’s second chart-topper of 2019 (following his solo release Warm, which was the first #1 of the year).

After no new albums reached the NACC Top 10 last week, three albums find their way in this week. Allah-Las rise 11-9 and Hovvdy jumps 18-8. But it’s last week’s fastest overall NACC 200 climber from Chris Stewart aka Black Marble that enjoys the biggest climb into the Top 10. The third Black Marble LP, Bigger Than Life (out of Sacred Bones) rises 26-10.

Making the highest debut on the NACC 200 this week is Seattle, WA quintet Great Grandpa. Formed in 2015, the band released its debut LP in 2017 and follows it up with its sophomore effort Four Of Arrows. The Double Double Whammy release soars onto the NACC 200 this week at #27.

Grammy and Emmy award-winning pianist, composer, and producer Robert Glasper enjoys the biggest climb on the NACC 200 this week. The Houston, TX native’s new mixtape, F**k Yo Feelings, came together as a two-day recording session to see what he and some musician friends, including Herbie Hancock, Denzel Curry, and Yasin Bey (fka Mos Def) could organically put together. The resulting album, out of Loma Vista/Concord, leaps 190-69 on the NACC 200 this week.

The most-added record of the week comes from violinist and singer Brittney Denis Parks, who records as Sudan Archives. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Parks moved to Los Angeles when she was 17. She released her first EP in 2017 with the second following in 2018. Her Stones Throw release, Athena, is her debut LP and it collects 72 Top 10 adds this week while simultaneously debuting on the NACC 200 at #121.

The Top 5 overall NACC Adds, all of this week’s #1 genre releases, and most-added genre records are included below. There are returns to #1 at Jazz and Blues as well as new #1s at NACC Non-Comm, NACC NEXT, Electronic, Folk, and Chill.
